The Kansas City Zoo was marvelous yesterday. Some of our favorites were the Red Panda, the Siberian Tigers and the chimpanzees. The Chimp family was hilarious - the couple's older child was a little clown, hamming it up for our cameras. The Dad had his back to us, looking to be fed, but the Mom had a baby chimp clinging to her that was just priceless! The KC Zoo docents were helpful and kind and patient with us with our questions. Lovely day there yesterday.
I'm cramming for my exam - it's going well but I'll probably take another pre-test of my own or two to test my knowledge. I'll be consumed with this until I pass it, but I think it'll be worth it. No pain no gain.
Hi cyn, Dude, elston, all of you all - have really good Tuesday's!
Actually he passed in Sept. but the holidays are always a hard time. Plus dreary weather. It will pass...one day at a time.
So happy to hear your zoo visit was so nice elkotronics!
Thanks Dude--I can still feel your hug!
Off to feed my neighbors birds and then a quick trip to take my kitty to the vet for another shot for her gums. Then it's off to work so a busy day here already.
Have a blessed day everyone!
I just said a prayer for our neighbor, an elderly lady who lives by herself. She was carried out to the ambulance and waved to us neighbors, but I felt the need to offer a prayer up for her.
Thanks for caring for your "babies" so well, cyn. And hugs to you, too!
I'm studying and shopping and taking care of things that need ta be done today - I go back to work tomorrow night, Thu-Sat nights, 3 in a row. Getting colder here in the KC Metro - a high of low to mid 40's today.
Praying for your neighbor elko!
Work again today--boy it sure has been slow since they opened the new PetsMart down the street. I guess that was to be expected but I hope business picks back up for us.
We had some wicked weather last night---BuBa was being a real pill..he kept wanting out and whining but he'd already done his business and then the bad weather started so maybe he sensed it coming?! Anyhow we were under a tornado watch with high winds and down pouring rains. We needed the rain but not the winds. It's just now getting light so I'll take the dogs on their 2nd walk this morning and make sure there is no damage. It's still not very cold but that's suppose to change tonight.
Hope everyone has a lovely day!
We heard from a friend of our neighbor that she suffered a stroke yesterday. But not a bad one - they're keeping her in the hospital for a few days. The friends (a couple from Stockton, MO) were up yesterday to feed her dog and cat. We never see them so didn't even know she had them. Someone (a neighbor) is going to feed them today and tomorrow (if necessary) until she gets home, because neighbors were out talking to this couple visiting, and that couple left to go back home. We'll continue in prayer for her.
Studying today for testing and then getting a long nap for night work tonight, Friday night and Saturday night. Testing is going to be Monday (short 50-question test given to me by my Boss) and then the "real" exam is 200 questions - in which 50 will be thrown out. They do that to "test" the goodness of those questions being used in the future on exams.
Thinking of you all........ I hope your neighbour gets better s00n elko
