The latest sun is sinking fast, my race has nearly run
My strongest trials now are past, my triumph is begun
O come Angel Band, come and around me stand
O bear me away on your snow wings to my immortal home

Nice dry day so I decided to take advantage of that and was hoping to clean my den rug. It is so dirty with the Easter mess I came home to, tried to clean but didn't get it very well and just all the red dirt NC is known for. Well I only got about 1/2 way done and I am tired and very sore. Little steps I guess. I am drying it with fans now and hoping it doesn't take to long. It really doesn't look much better...sigh....but I tried! Bella stayed in the mud room and I put Bubba in his outside yard. Now I need to go to the store and post office so guess I'll bring them back in if it's dry enough!. Tomorrow is work so I hope I didn't push to hard. We shall see.
I do know elston--I am so blessed. I do have to remind myself all the time when things are difficult.
My neighbor had a lot of visitors yesterday--I know he is close to the end and it really hurts me. But I have to remember it's about him and he will be done with the pain and happy once again.
Hope everyone has a blessed day!
Planning a trip to Arizona to check & see if it could become my forever home. My friends here do not want to see me leave but my body cannot go through another winter here.
I'm excited but terrified. But, will be welcomed by CD retirement friends & although we've never met, still & all, we are all friends.
A very sad long night last night--my dear friend/neighbor passed away. I got the call around 10:30 pm with the sad news. ALS sucks! It sees like every dog in our neighborhood knew--so much howling for most of the night. Very strange. I didn't sleep but maybe a couple of hours. So much going through my mind--memories! I am happy for my friend that he is no longer going through the pain of ALS and is now free of pain and sorrow. RIP my dear friend Jack! Enjoy those wings!
Dogs, know.... more than once I've experienced this. They tell the neighbors in advance.
I had a friend , a neighbor he was in a coma many months. He had 2 dobermans and they both started howling at the exact moment he passed. He was in a hospital 40 miles away.
Then we got the call from the hospital shortly thereafter.
It's strange but I could hear dogs howling--not barking--at the time my friend passed on into the night. It's very rare to hear those dogs barking or howling. Yes, I do think they know.
Dude, it sure seems that way--always something! Thank you for all the love you share!

Good Luck; I hope Arizona turns out to be perfect for you.
