This was about remembering the widowed on special days such as the deceased's birthday and Valentine's Day.

It explains a few other things that the non-widowed might not understand:a simple act that can touch a heart

There is another one also: from one widow to another

Thank you so much for these links. As a new widow not yet three months in, I found them tremendously helpful and comforting.

Yes, thank you. I am also a three month widow. (I don't like the label, but there it is.)

Very important information for those who have not gone through a loss of a loved one and for those who have too. It hit the nail on the head! When I felt my friends up here on CD on my grieving thread were not coming very often I had such a fear of losing them....they are my strength. I live in a very rural area and people are scarce so I am beyond lonely. Thank God for my pets and church and CD! I also have good neighbors but everyone has their own lives and it's very hard to even see them! Thank you for posting this!

My nephew's best friend--I'd known him for years--sent flowers on Valentines Day. I cried like a baby. Someone remembered me.

Another resource is Griefshare: GriefShare - Grief Recovery Support Groups - GriefShare This is a faith based program, but lots of churches participate.
