(CNN) -- As a parent, you wake up in the morning thinking about what you should fix for your kids for breakfast. What time do they need to get to ballet or soccer practice? Who should pick them up from school? Then, they're your last thoughts as you go to bed.
Having gone through the death of our son 22 years ago, time does heal, you just never forget the devastating feeling and the question of why, this child had his whole life ahead of him, babies just don't go down for a nap and never wake up, question after question goes through your mind forever. It is something I pray no parent has to go through.
A parent should never have to bury their own child.
I agree. I keep tearing up whenever they show pics of John Travolta and his son, especially the one where Jett is kissing his dad on the head. I can't even begin to imagine the pain. My deepest sympothies go to any parent who has to bury their child.
