Nomadicus, I do believe that qualifies her as a Care Dog. In a sense, though, don't all our dogs qualify as care dogs. What would we do without them! You are lucky to have each other. It sounds like a lovely bond.

She is registered. She gave me a lot of psycological support when I was a shutin for a number of years. Does that qualify her as a Care Dog? I think so. I know so.

I was told the best way to have a good service dog was to encourage the puppy in them. Dont fuss if they pick up a sock encourage them to bring it to you & praise....BUT watch out one day the will bring you everything on the floor!! Another thing see if there are any puppy raiser near you & IF they have a meet up time & place go to it....Fun for the pups & informative for you!!
