I'm looking at SA XDM .45s, Kahr PM45s, and maybe the new Ruger LC9.
Wish they made those LCPs & LC9s with a stainless slide.

Yes, those of us who have been Bullseye shooters know exactly how small the bullseye looks at 25 yards. While in the military, and on a pistol team, I found the 1911 45 ACP were much easier to shoot and score well with at 25 yards, than were the High Standard 22's. Wish I would have had my Ruger Mk II's back then.

I'm with you, I hate that info that Ruger stamps on frames and barrels. I don't care for loaded chamber indicators either. I really like Ruger's single action revolvers, and their Red Hawk, but not their Super Red Hawk or any of their big bore semi auto loaders. And of course, we can thank Bill Ruger for helping the government with the ban on magazines holding more than 10 rounds.
While we are on this particular thread, FNH manufactured the pistol that fires the 5.7X28 cartridge. Think the magazine in that pistol holds 30 rounds. It was the one used in the shootings at Fort Hood.

FN Herstal is one of the finest manufacturers of all types of weapons. My two Belgium made Browning shotguns are still going strong 60+ years after my grandfather first purchased them. They were the one company I was glad to see pick up Winchester and Browning rather than some other world conglomerate. Seems Belgium has a penchant for American companies. Can anyone say Anheuser-Bush.

Well the wood was not so much a preference as a lack of a better option at the time, but it does look good, but then again you could stick it in a pile of jello or dirty laundry and it'd look good
