Ok I am thinking about buying one of these. Anyone have any feedback about their own experiances they would like to share. I have read most of the pros and cons so have at it.
Been drooling on those for a couple years. I would love to fire one. We do have a gun show in June where you can test fire firearms. I may have to go this year.
I had a PS90; I wasn't very impressed with the 5.7X 28 round at all.
I wouldn't buy the pistol myself; that round is just too anemic for anything useful beyond plinking (especially considering it's a proprietary round and FN doesn't put out the steel core military rounds for public purchase). It's better to stick with 9mm .40 or .45 for a pistol in my opinion. Otherwise, you just have a toy gun. If you want a pure plinker, go with .22 and plink for a tenth of the price.
It doesn't seem like much of an improvement on the .22 WMR, although I like the bullet shape. However, if they tumble, there goes that advantage. I love the .22 WMR and my Model 648 S&W revolver.
Now that the good ammo is no longer out there it doesn't do anything for me but add another caliber. I try to choose commonly available calibers so I'm not overpaying and never have to guess about availability. Of course, I don't have to wrestle with the testosternone issue that makes those appealing to many either. YMMV
I'd love to try one out, but I'm sorta turned off by the way it looks and the proprietary caliber.
If I wanted something ugly and functional I'd go for one of the umpteen million Glock variants or preferably a P7, lol.
The rounds themselves sounded rather interesting, though.
I know what proprietary means....but really, for a round?
Hell, even the the weed killer "Round up" is no longer proprietary..
As far as I'm aware, FN is the only one that makes the ammunition, period.. and there isn't stuff available for reloading. I could be very wrong, though.
