With the seasons at about halftime, what have you got so far?

I still have one tag to fill but this one is in the freezer! We are 10 of 12 with a week left for the last two fellas who are up in camp right now!

Our season D6 closed Oct 30. Most bucks I see now are still in their velvet. Someone in fish and game hates us with these early seasons.

Wheeled deer hauler? *****..

Tag soup for me.

Luckily I have a few friends that take pity on me and share their deer kills

Killed a few phesants this past Sat. Gonna get to duck hunting in a week or so after these storms blow in a lot of the Northerners.

Just a button buck. Had a doe tag...fortunately the definition of a buck is antlers > 6 ". If I had a buck tag I had a chance to take an 8 pointer. He strolled about 15-20 feet behind me as I was sitting in a blind earlier this week. I still considered shooting it and buying a tag....but I'm a pastor. Figured that wouldn't go over too well if I got caught poaching.

That is about when ours starts. The downside is the bucks are in rut and really dumb.

MMMMM tag soup. Not gonna happen. I've got 7 Deer in the last 5 years. I still got one more tag but it will mean freezing my rear off in a stand I'm trying to figure out how to get a ground blind and heater to stay on it
