Not much, to be honest - the new versions (that you have) have a horrible reputation for problems. It's likely a 1927 replica model vs 1928 - and in good shape, worth maybe $500.

That's it huh? Never actually seen one of these in a gun shop. They never interested me much anyway. Just a bullet hose. Curio value only, for me. Would rather have a Marlin Camp Carbine if I felt the need for an ACP long arm.
I almost bought one once... right now a used one in perfect shape might get ya $4-500. If you wait 'till the next "Obama is coming for your guns" scare you'll get twice that once the black guns are all gone.
The Blue Book of Gun Values will give you an idea of what your gun is worth. But, those prices listed are only a guide, prices and values vary from state to state. A gun is worth only what someone will pay for it, no more and no less. How rare the gun is and what condition it is in have a lot to do with a guns worth, but then again it is worthless unless you have a buyer who will pay the price you are asking. Check the gun auction sites and find out what people are selling the same model for, note, I didn't say 'what people are asking for that model'.
Yep.....and frankly I'm amazed that Cabella's gave that much - they're typically $2-3 under fair retail on their offers (they have to make a profit, too). So....either they screwed up badly (possible, but rare), or there was something else about that AO that wasn't communicated here.
Either way - as long as he's happy, that's all that matters.
