Does anybody still make these kinds of rounds? It doesn't look like CCI makes them any more.

Been looking for these myself. They are just as hard to find as a lot of other ammo.

Yes, they're still made, just not something every dealer carries. You can even still get .22 shot shells if you want.

Personally I prefer .410 shot shells, which work perfectly in my .45 Colt derringer by Bond. It's a combination affectionately known in Texas as a "Snake Eraser."

That's what I was going to say as well. Since the Bond Arms derringer, S&W Governor, Taurus Judge came out it kind of makes these shells obsolete.

Why screw around with an underpowered shell when you can blast 'em with a full house .410 gauge shot shell.

My bad for not looking at CCI's web site close enough. But on the Bass Pro and Cabella's sites, they don't have an option to order them in .38 or .357, and I've been checking their local stores for 18 months + and can't find them.

I probably could find them at one of the many gun shows we have here, but I don't want to pay an entry fee just to buy 10 or 20 rounds of ammo.

I found a few other web sites that listed them as well, but every one says either out of stock, back ordered or discontinued.

That looks bad for you. Larry doesn't even have any..... Shotshell | 38 Special | Handgun Ammo | Ammo

These new .410 revolvers and derringers must be putting the squeeze on them where not many people buy 'em anymore.

You could look for one of these single shots. I have one I bought in about '90-'91 for $29.00. LOL

It's pretty crude but fires and works fine. I've shot some pests with it including a woodchuck.

I sometimes throw it in my tackle-box when I go fishing.

Don't know what they go for now.

What I paid for mine back then isn't much more than a box of those shells.

I emailed CCI (should have done that first) and they answered me today:

John, we just had a large sum of this ammunition made and sent to the distributors, you can have your local dealer see if they can order it for you.
