All chemical color DOES damage hair, no matter how gentle. Try washing it less, and use very gentle shampoo with low sulfate.

I used to use Loreal, but I noticed it starting to fade too fast, especially down the middle. Yes, I still part my hair down the middle or alittle to the side. Plus I was losing estrogen, and my hair was frizzy. And the color wouldn't hold because of no estrogen.

So, I started using Clairol Nice n Easy and that seemed to last longer. And held the color better.
Plus, it also comes w/a blue tube of conditioner which I just love.

I have naturally wavy, frizzy hair, and use the cheap $3 stuff found in most stores. Revlon Colorsilk. My hair is actually, always, it's shiniest after I dye it. I think it's the conditioner that comes with the box though. I have used other brands in the past and just found them to be a complete waste of money

I use Revlon's Frost and Glow and instead of using the cap I just use the tip of the 'stirrer' that comes with the kit and apply the bleach to some of the strands. Works great!
