You hold get a couple of consultations or use one of those online programs that lets you insert your face into various hair styles or lengths because your face looks very long to me and a very short do might not be the best option. Maybe something that gives your face a fuller look? Just my opinion.
So update with mine, I cut it pretty short and I love it! I was told it emphasized my face even more. I just love having less hair to worry about. I find that I have more options to style my hair now more than ever! I think it's mainly because I have less hair to style, so it's not a daunting task.
I showed my hairdresser the cut and it's the same as the second picture (minus the undercut buzz or something). She copied the look and really thinned out my hair because my hair is too thick and my hair will look flat if she didn't. My hairdresser really knows what she's doing so it looked really good! I think if the OP gets/has a good one, he/she'll say what's a good cut for her face.
All my life, I have rarely had my hair super short, its always been shoulder length short if not MAYBE to about my chin area short. But lately I have been thinking of cutting my current long shoulder length hair, to a pixie haircut, but not sure how it will look. I have heard some hair cuts don't fit for some people.
It reminds me of the old Kate Gosselin ("Jon and Kate Plus Eight") haircut. Otherwise known on the show's message boards as "smashed seagull" or "backside of a gopher."
Personally, I liked it, except that that long hank of bang in the front always seemed to be in her eyes and annoying her.
