I used Loreal Ferria for years, but I noticed it wasn't lasting as long, now I'm using Clairol Nice and Easy and I love it, the gray stays away longer. The only bad thing is it takes 25 minutes.
Interesting. That's the one in my hair now. I recently discovered Vidal Sassoon Pro Series hair color, but it wasn't on sale last time, so I got the Feria again. I actually like the Vidal Sassoon better though. I've used Feria several times. The one I recommend AGAINST people buying is Garnier Olia. My gf and I, who are both brunettes with different skin tones, bought the same black shade and dyed our hair with it the same day. She has short hair and has never dyed before, and I have long hair and have dyed many times. The dye gave us these red, brassy undertones to our hair that we really disliked. Fortunately, the dye didn't last either, so we didn't have to deal with that weird look for long
I've started using Garnier Olia. It's amazing, huge difference from all of the other types I had been using before. I have an amazing stylist who is also a color specialist. She thought I had had it professionally done. I have had root issues with most home dyes, where I need to dye again after only a week or two because the roots would become too light. With this Olia, I have no such issues apart from actual new growth.
Revlon Colorsilk has been my go-to for many years. I've experimented with so many other brands, but for what I do with my hair, you just can't beat that price. (under $3/box) *I no longer color my roots, just add dark lowlights & auburn undertones for flair and dimension.
I use Pravana powder lightener and developer, then Kenra SV toner, then I use Pravana color. (But I'm biased, since I'm a Pravana Master Colorist, and also a sale rep for them, but hands down Kenra's toner is amazing!!!)
I use Clairol's semi-permanent color. Does any other company make a semi-permanent product? Revlon and L'Oreal used to, but I haven't seen anything from either one in years.
