When he attempted to pull pull the wax and the hair off, I thought I was gonna die! I ended up holding an extremely hot washcloth to my bikini area to melt off as much wax as I could, then cutting the rest off with a pair of scissors, then shaving all the hair off. Let me tell you - it was a b*tch when the hairs started growing in. Talk about itch city!!!

I've learned not to do at home what I pay a professional at the salon to do. The $40 I spend for a Brazilian is totally worth every penny!
OMG LOL! You poor thing that sounds painful.l..but I am sure you and he have a laugh over it now...

I am too much of a wimp....went once to a spa to get waxed and made them stop after 1 minute on my legs....I couldn't take the pain.

I have an Epilady Legend, I bought it at Target. It works really well, but does take some practice to get the angle right and does take some time going over each area to get all the hairs.

Let us know how the honee wax works out!

Well, there is good and there is bad.

Good first - it is easier to handle, less stringy.

Now bad - it has a very weird smell that I can't quite put my finger on... somewhat astringent, like rosin or pine sap or something. It's not overpowering, but not really pleasant either. The SH kit had a subtle vanilla scent that I liked better. The Honee wax did not grab the hair half as good as the Sally Hansen kit - but that may be a bit of an unfair comparison since the hair I was trying to wax today is much more soft and fine compared to what I removed from my lower leg already with the SH. There was definitely more of a learning curve with the Honee - there was a sweet spot where if I timed it just right it worked almost as good as the SH. It seemed to work better if I ignored the pre-cleaner/powder steps and just went right to it, but really it was quite unsatisfactory.

So I gave up and just shaved.

I will probably pick up an epilator at some point. Seems like that would be easier to control and much less messy. Thanks for everyone's input.

Go to a professional to get waxed- It won't hurt as much! I sometimes use ''The Body Shop Sugaring kit'' - if you get any stuck on your skin it just washes off. A friend of mine lastered her hair off at Laser Hair Removal Clinic in Toronto - Permanent Hair Removal but I'm too scared to do it - plus it's expensive!!!
