Hello,

I am new arrival to Yorktown and I am looking for a good old school barber. Recommendations?

There's Green's Barber Shop in Grafton. The blonde lady with very short hair that is amazing at haircuts. I forget her name. She only works certain days, so I would just poke your head in, and if you see her, take a seat.

I wouldn't recommend the older Asian lady.

There's also Hidenwood Barber Shop in Newport News. The place is old and dingy and nothing seems to have been updates since 1998, but they give an amazing haircut for a good price.

If you're looking for one of the new "trendy old school" barber shops, you're going to be disappointed. I'm still waiting on one of those brave, tattooed twenty-somethings to open one of those up here.
