Ok, this question is for the realtors out there... or anyone who can help me out.

I'm getting ready to move to the area in 2 months and will be renting instead of buying since I'll only be here for 1 year. In my search for rentals I have stumbled onto an agent who is just dynamite. IMHO, she is going well above the "call of duty" trying to help me out. Since I know that most realtors don't make a living off of rentals, I would like to find a way to thank her for the time and effort she has invested helping me out.

My question is, how do I go about doing that and what would be appropriate? I think I read on one of these forums that realtors are lucky to clear $100+ on a rental, is that true?

Thanks.

A realtor's company usually gets 10% of the first months rent, then the company splits that with the agent depending on what there split is. I am sure your realtor is doing their best in hopes that you will refer clients to them in the future. Technically all payments etc have to go thru their broker. Takr some of their business cards and refer them whenever possible I am sure that will make them happy.
