Hello everyone,

I'm posting on behalf of my girlfriend, who's looking to get a job in Williamsburg and live in the area, as in no more than 30 minutes away from Colonial Williamsburg. If all goes as planned, she is planning on finding a place to live with one of her good friends, but they don't want something that's more than $1000 a month in rent. Does anyone have any suggestions for places near Williamsburg that fit this criteria? Somewhere relatively safe is a must as well.

Thanks!

Sorry I can't offer any specific place names, but you might widen your search a bit to include James City County, York County, and maybe Newport News. Those locations are all within 30 minutes of Williamsburg and probably have more rental options than anything more west of Williamsburg.

Do you need a house or is an apartment an option? There are some decent apartment complexes in Williamsburg for that price range.

Finding a house in a safe area will be a problem.

I appreciate the responses, however my girlfriend's plans changed and she's no longer looking to live in the area
