Hello! Thanks for all the posts here...I have enjoyed reading/researching! I need some help!!!

I've searched the boards and haven't found a lot of information on potential nice areas that are Northeast from Harrisburg (near/around Hwy 78 or 81) . I know many times people don't include details on what they are looking for, so want to call out some specifics on what we are seeking and see if you all could offer some guidance. I really appreciate any thoughts/opinions, or experiences!

Family of 4 (working Dad, stay at home Mom, two small children), active in church (Methodist), college educated, have spent most of time in Southeast/Midwest, employment is already in place

In order of importance, we are seeking:

1) Location approximately 30-40 minutes drive from Bethel, PA (may limit us to near Hwy 78 or 81)

2) Should be safe for families overall (comfortable walking outside in the evening, not frequent/violent crime, public schools above the average for the greater area)

3) Cost of living, specifically in buying a primary residence (seeking 3-4 bedroom, 2,000-2,500 square foot home, prefer brick, overall focus on bang for buck and ability to be marketable in 3-4 years). We don't mind rural areas, as long as basic shopping is 10-15 minutes away. I realize taxes can be a concern, and some counties may be better than others.

Some locations that I've seen on the map, but really don't know much about are:

Linglestown, Grantville, Indiantown, Jonestown, Fredericksburg, Myers Town, Bethel
