11 of the 13 climate zones of the world can be found on the Big Island... including, when the weather is right, sub-zero weather, snow and skiing on Mauna Kea, as we had this winter.

While one can ski, there are no lifts and when it snows, the road up to Mauna Kea is closed.
It is also extremely rocky (think planet Mars landscape) and your skiing will be limited to about 200 yards, max.

Only on the Bigger Island are they a little 'loopy". Some say it's the vog,,, I'm not so certain...... But it's definitely something they inhale down,,,, uuuurrrrpppp,,,, scuze me, there....
