those coquis can often sound like your standing next to that airplane as it takes off. Don;t confuse them with mainland frogs or even toads.

Hahahaha - you'll be begging for the sound of jetliners after experiencing these frogs - at least the jets stop at certain point at night, these frogs go at it dusk till down - and they are LOUD!

You know, I'm looking at rental housing on BIG island and not seeing much for non-tourist permanant single dwelling ($500-$800). I'm sure this is not a true picture.
