Safe and sound in Hilo since August 2012, and we have never seen any conch (or anything else edible) on any Big Island dives. Unlike ourselves, the local people do NOT practice conservative hunting...we are sickened when we see the teeny fish that they spear and then leave to die.

Try a parrotfish. Interesting texture, much like Lobster tail.
