Oh yes! Give me the tornados of the midsouth! <-- sarcasm

I talked to an older man here who's never seen snow. I'm not fond of freezing but I do like a nice snowfall.
And lightning storms - I saw an ominous cloud yesterday and hoped I'd see lightening. No dice.

I miss lightning storms too... and I live in Alaska. No storms here. Just rain and wind. and snow... lots and lots of snow.

Perfect weather? To me it's too hot, humid and sunny most of the time. Whenever I walk outside more than 10 minutes I start to sweat. When I pick up lunch at work I usually come back sweating. Good for the beach though, unfortunately I don't go to the beach often. I guess it's more the monotony of it all that I don't like. I wouldn't mind the warm summers so much if the winters were colder.

After 130 degrees in Kuwait, it'll be a while before the warmth of the Hawaii sun bothers me.
Having said that, I REALLY enjoyed my beach umbrella last weekend!!

No one place has perfect weather. Southern California has generally better weather than Hawaii (IMO) but it is not a better place than Hawaii by far (IMO)

Sorry, KauaiPono, I have lived in So Cal for most of my life. I am moving to the leeward side of Oahu because I am sick to death of being cold November through March, and stinkin' hot August through September. Don't even ask how much I dislike those Santa Ana winds!

I have been comparing the weather day by day for the last year. I'll take yours over mine. People have asked me if I won't get bored by the weather there. No, but having to stay inside for weeks on end here because of the heat, cold, or bad air gets boring pretty fast!
