Would you love to love Comcast again? Try Time Warner Cable - less channels and options for more money.

Lots of issues with Comcast, above and beyond channel selection and cost. Their stock just plummeted, too.
TWC is awful. We switched to Hawaiian TelCom last year, no issues so far except for initial installation stuff. Lost OC16, which might be important to some but not to me (except for the Pet Hui but we will survive).

I would be surprised if this merger is allowed. This can't be good for customers.

We dumped Comcast years ago after putting up with Comcast jacking up the rates over and over through the years. We switched between DirecTV and Dish Network, whichever had the cheaper prices. Now we are waiting for our Dish Network contract to end, then we will dump Dish Network. Like millions of people, we are cutting the cord, dumping cable/satellite for good. Local free over the air HD plus Netflix is all we need.

We dumped Comcast Internet because too many people in our neighborhood stream Netflix movies at night, slowing down the 20 meg cable Internet down to 3 meg at night. VDSL does not slow down at night.

I'm hoping the FCC slams it down. Nothing good coming from this.
