If this happens hopefully we get upgraded cable in our lifetime. Comcast is far better in terms of a channel lineup.

Comcast to buy Time Warner Cable in all stock deal

That probably also means that Comcast will be jacking up their rates again in the near future. I think you can count on that happening!

I'd gladly pay more over the poor Time-Warner offering!

I had Comcast back in the Bay Area. I think it was much better than the TWC I have now.

Far more channels, especially with HD, and more on-demand options with Comcast. Same price as TWC.

Yeah, and their DVR service is pretty cool as well. We have Comcast in San Francisco and TWC in Maui and have been pretty underwhelmed with the TWC offerings.

If we go Comcast hopefully we can watch Comcast Sports Network Bay Area and watch Giants and Warriors games! With TWC they only show LA teams.

IF this goes through... and the feds seem to be saddling up to fight it... I think these two companies, who are neck and neck competitors for the title of "Worst Customer Service in the US," could go synergistically awful beyond current imaginings.

I would suspect that as a part of the deal (if it goes through) that Hawaii's subscribers will be among those who are sold off to some competitor. Comcast had mentioned that they would sell off 3 million subscribers to get the deal approved by regulators. I can't imagine bothering to keep Hawaii being that the market is limited already as far as growth.
