Not drinking or anything, but what's the law and/or custom in Hawaii?

Specifically: In say, a lounge section of a restaurant, can I eat (and drink) with my small children? Is there a rule on actual bars (eg: if the place serves food, will they let children in)? I don't want to take them night clubbing or anything, I love happy hour food/drink specials.

Back to work.

I'm sure it can vary from place to place with individual rules - but I see kids in bars all the time in Oahu like The Shack, Yard House, Dave and Busters, etc....and sometimes I see them sit right at the bar although I'm not sure that is legal.

There are some differences from island to island, because each county has its own liquor control board and some regulations differ, particularly regarding who can sell or serve alcohol.

I think in general any place that serves food and also serves alcohol will be OK for your kid, and if not the host or server will tell you. If they primarily serve alcohol and happen to have a little food too? I would suggest another choice...

Have no ideal, most likely the zoo. Just another example of shame, the local landmark bar was replaced with a car dealership.

It was divey, but I did enjoy going there with my husband. The Monkeys behind the bar, the little shark in the tank, etc. The waitresses were all old, Lol, but they remembered you and were very friendly. Loved that bar.
