I'm not sure why people think this is a travel site. Trip advisor or Fodors is going to be travel oriented.
Unless of course you want to debate silly monarchy claims.
Gee didn't i make a mistake in taking you off of the ignore function in thinking you would have something intelligent to contribute? Oh well brah, i continue to make mistakes back to our regular programing.
Although there are some good hotels that are not hundreds of dollars a night scattered through out Hawaii, I do enjoy vacation rentals from VRBO and think this is great advice Hawaiian By Heart.
I really enjoy it when you make at least a mostly positive post like this!
Truth i would rather be doing culture and aloha type post and threads, but with underdog/native issues i just have to represent and stand up.
Can you tell now i was the kid in public school in Hawai'i who picked on da bullies?
How can you stand up and represent Native Hawaiians when you are not one?
Please, stick to the culture and aloha type posts like your previous one, minus calling OpenD and I "Talking Heads".
Ok bye ignore list you go troll. Im native you jerk we share the exact same issues! I can curtainly relate more to them then i can with the first world problems that we or you face in america today.
No kids and we do want to do things like boating snorkeling music restaurants. I saw prices for 1400 for some for one person including flight. But if like to go for 5 days. Yes I'll rent a car and country is better but I guess with access to shows in the city if they aren't any In country.
I recently got a mailing from Costco offering a super good deal in a nice resort, plus a car for a very attractive price. I think it was Maui, which is a lovely island. It didn't include airfare and I've thrown the flyer away, but it is probably listed in their website.
We also preferred staying in vacation rentals instead of hotels prior to buying our own place. For us it was an easy choice.
The pro's:
-Better prices
-More space (living room)
-Kitchen (save $ making some of your own meals)
-Feels more like "living" there
The con:
-No maid to make your bed every day
As far as which island, you'll want to choose between Kauai, Oahu, Maui and Big Island (don't both with Molokai and Lanai as there is much less to do there.)
All the islands have their own charms, but as you might have guessed from my user name, I'm partial to Maui. Oahu has too much congerstion and "big city" for my taste and Kauai and the Big Island are a little too remote/sleepy. Maui has a nice blend of outdoorsy stuff, relaxed with more of the benefits of civlization like dining, shopping and a bit of night life.
