And, some folks that own their home in Hawaiʻi also live with ʻohana members -- it saves on daycare expenses for the keiki and retirement home expenses for the kupuna.

Ah, perhaps a flat statement of "accually your wrong be patient" could be seen as a wee touch insensitive, don't you think? Perhaps a better phrasing may be something along the line of "try wait, you'll be surprised"?

Somehow I don't see happy results in telling anyone they are wrong. That generally pokes them right in the ego which is usually a rather sensitive spot.

Also, this poll is rather limited in scope since it only polls folks here on this forum, so it's gonna be skewed by that but I will wait and see where it goes.

If enough folks respond to this "poll," the results might be somewhat similar to the data from the U.S. Census Bureau.
Hawaii QuickFacts from the US Census Bureau

We own the home we are living in with grandma (purchased together) and have one home for sale. A girl I work with who is native says she doesn't understand Princeville, where we live, since it's just a bunch of wealthy people who own these huge homes. I asked her about how she lives or what is common for the natives/locals and she said it's mainly multi-generational households since homes are so expensive. And that she is on a wait list for a piece of land that are given to the natives for something like $20,000. She has been on the list for 5 years. Also that many people camp at the beaches over the weekends so they can get away from their crowded homes.

Grab your boarding pass and take your seat.

Shortly after take-off The Captain will announce to the cabin & crew that most local's living in Hawaii either live with Ohana or rent a home or condo. But most people on this flight Own their own home or investment properties. Thus, most people on this flight are not really in touch with the values of most local's in Hawaii.

Please keep your seat belt fastened during this flight. We're expecting turbulence ahead.
Very close indeed. HBH is going to skew a poll to "prove" that racism (ahem..."classism") is not allowing locals the opportunity to own their own homes.

Your pretty quick to judge. Sorry my friend not even close or pono.

Your quote: "HBH is going to skew a poll to "prove" that racism (ahem..."classism")" end quote:. But with that statement can you argue against racism or classism? k den, try wait you'll be surprised.

And how do you skew a poll when each person has only one vote?
