IDK, maybe past performance predicts future behaviors?

I can't imagine any of the weak sisters running for Governor will actually man up and make changes. Maybe in 2018.

The Governor of the State of Hawaiʻi doesn't have the authority to make changes in the Honolulu Police Department. However, the Honolulu City Council and the mayor do via the Honolulu Police Commission.

That is where it stands. You want to have changes in the Honolulu Police department. The City Council and the Mayor is where it starts?

Do HPD officers all wear body cams? If they don't they should. That would be a good step towards more accountability of officers.

Really?

With the news filled daily of people wrongly convicted or exonerated, we can't assume everyone who comes in contact with the police are guilty.

What about the abused family members? Just dont break the law, but when Daddy comes home and breaks Mommy's face, well, she's probably guilty of something.

besides which, we the public are paying these goons. We should expect better.

As long as you also are never a victim of a crime.

What is your solution then - I don't break the law therefore I don't have interactions with police. I don't hang out with shady characters or find myself in being in the wrong place.

I watch the news often - I must be missing all these stories of wrongly convicted people in Hawaii.

What about abused family members? Really? Leave. Don't get into that position to begin with.

You never heard about racial profiling? Not everybody can live in a nice area of Kailua and drive a white viper.

What is your point? If anyone is going to be subject to racial profiling in Hawaii it would be me - as I'm a minority here.
