Yes Oahu is to crowded..... I as here first!!!
Oahu by far, I think has the most an better surf spots. I grew up west side Oahu. when its pumpin, so.... many places go off!! I think Oahu has better beach conditions lol sand. not that sand is a main factor as far as the way the breaks are. Tumble land during the winter is covered with sand. come summer the sand is gone and uncovers this reef thats designed for action. there is like a double hump. in the reef. the outer hump is where the waves brake, the inner hump keep the back wash from messing up the next set of wave coming in.
the reef runs on an angle to the shore making for some real mean barrels... oh the reef!!! its slippery as heck not jagged that it will hurt you but kinda smooth like...
I think I going beach tomorrow...
