All green? Try the west side, like right now - in June. Was in Kapolei yesterday, and it was brown as far as the eye an see except for people who water lawns.
Well, it has been hotter and dryer than normal for this time of year. Even the east side is devoid of greenery. We really need some rain.
Also I wanted to ask, is the island of Oahu just a floating city in the middle of the ocean? It appears the island has a population density similar to Long Island NY. Nassau County for example has very little natural space left. It is largely suburbs and strip malls. Is the island of Oahu like this as well?
no. the pineapple plantations are the open spaces, they are grasslands now
