And that, should be a quality, patience, which, if you don't have, you may as well stay on the Mainland.

Cause you ain't gonna make it over here if you're in a frenetic hurry.

I'm sooooooo looking forward to slowing down. Life is way too hectic in Houston. Everyone always trying to out do someone else and it never ends. I'm tired of keeping up with the Joneses'. We are moving into a fully furnished and when our stuff comes, so be it. We are only taking the stuff that's really special or important to us and getting rid of 90% of our belongings.

keeping up with the jones' is something that's your choice to do or not. there's people like that here, as with anywhere else.

We don't care about the Jones. Now the Matsumotos, that may be a different story. But, the Matsumotos have a different value system than the Jones so you'll need different things. Easy to pack things, at least, like humility, helpfulness, community thinking, etc.

And for getting things from other islands to the one you're on, inter-island shipping is pretty reasonable. There used to be some folks who would go gather things up and take them to the port, too, I forget what their name was, but there's probably more than just the ones I knew about.

Aloha,

Any tips for moving a car + bed and small furnishings to the mainland?

We're thinking of relocating to GA, but wanted ideas on companies, and costs.

I can't let go of the car as it's still new and I'm paying it off. Also we just purchased our bed two years ago. lol.

Thanks!
