If this issue regarding Covid-19 had traction it would actually make the news and not the rumor mill.

I'm not finding any credible articles on this.

Unclear what this has to do with lifting restrictions in Hawaii

I am not sure what news sources you use:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/polit...s-struck-down/

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/09/28/coul...condition.html

https://fortune.com/2020/06/26/trump...fing-covid-19/

I could go on...

I was responding to some posts saying there was no concern about this issue.

How it affects opening Hawaii to tourism? As i have said before, it does not matter if we open up if people do not feel safe coming. This is just another factor that could affect that, although i do think just general fear of travel will be a much bigger factor for quite some time to come. I am skeptical that the push to open up for tourism will have much of an impact in the near term.

Agreed. I was debating this guy and he swears only 7 million Americans have contracted Covid. I explained those are the confirmed cases. Tens of Millions of other Americans have had contracted Covid and not even know it.

Maybe. Certainly a lot more than confirmed. But “tens of millions of other Americans”? You don’t know that either.

At a minimum - it is "tens of millions" the CDC Director has said actual cases are likely in the 10x range of confirmed cases. 7+ million confirmed cases has a reality of 70+ million actual cases

If I was a betting man, I would make out pretty well on that wager.

How old is that 10x estimate?
Can one simultaneously claim the increased case numbers are due to increased testing and that the unconfirmed cases are still 10x?

I do agree that the number of infected is likely to be "tens of millions", as anything over 20M would fit that criteria.

Why wait a few weeks? We've already been finding out. 132 deaths / 12,200 = 1% death rate. If you consider the fact that there are 10X the number unconfirmed cases, that puts death rate at 0.1%. Well in line with the CDC covid survival rate, and very much in line with the flu death rate. Also consider that this is without a vaccine. Once that comes out, the death rate will fall way below the flu.

I think you missed the context of this particular exchange.
I was referring to whether or not tourists will start flocking to the state when we open up.
