Its like all tourist spots if you eat at the resorts you pay 15 bucks for a hamburger. We ate at Bloody Marys for lunch and had Poisson cru and some fish it was like $25 we liked it so much that on our way out we tried to make reservations for dinner that night they were booked so i was talking to the manager he was the one on duty and he said theat if we showed up at 7 he would squeeze us in (he was also the co owner we found out) so dinner was Ono for my wife and New Zealand beef and wine that was 49 bucks so not to bad. the day before we were in town and followed some local fisherman into resteraunt and had the best mahi mahi weve evr had for 18 bucks for the both of us .
The only thing I dont know what milk costs.....

$15 for a hamburger sounds like Manhattan! What a bargain.

I always said that my ideal life would be to live in Hawaii from Oct-March then live in Bavaria (Garmisch-Partenkirchen) April-Sept.

To me, either North or South of Hilo would be better than in Hilo. Nothing against Hilo, but we like being more in the country, away from city (town, in this case) life.

BucFan....you can't leave us like this....you got to tell us what's it like to live in Bavaria...your using words I can't even pronounce! This is what I love about this threat...we get to find out where people have been and what they think of those places!

Southern France, Malta, Northern Australia or South Africa (if it wasn't such a s*** hole). And of course, Hawaii.

If weather weren't a factor then I'd probably say Britain or The Netherlands.
