I went to Walmart and bought a ASPCA crate deemed certified for international and domestic air travel. It was half the cost of ones at Cabelles and Pet shops. It is an inch each way bigger than the airlines sizes but they have told me it will be ok. It weighs 24 lbs. My dog is in the mid 50's lbs but is tall and all leg. Plenty of room with a pillow above the head. Still considered a Large crate.
Fly in little over a week let you know if any issues with it. What I saw someone do is a good idea. Put the crate in the vehicle and drove pet around in it so it was fun thing also for them before flight. Also go pup used to being lifted and moved in crate.

I would try the internet to see if it is at yours first or maybe call first. I have found even if on the internet it doesn't mean the local store has it in stock. Walmart.com: ASPCA Kennel-Aire Pet Carrier: Dogs
However from the posts I just called the airliine they do prefer the plastic wing nuts be changed out to metal. Put that on my list for shopping today.
