I'm a student at the University of Wyoming this year, but I absolutely cannot stand it and I'm transferring somewhere next year.

I've been looking at UH Hilo or Manoa for about a month now, because I can get reduced tuition through the Western Undergraduate Exchange program. What exactly are these towns like? How expensive is the cost of living, etc.

Also if there are any students at UH, what is the school like? Do you feel like you are getting lost in the crowd? Is there a lot of stuff on campus to do? Do you like the school itself (and the professors)?

Any general information would be extremely helpful! Thank you!

U of H Manoa is on Oahu which is the island Honolulu is on and the University almost seems like an extension of downtown Honolulu. Very much a city sort of University.

U of H Hilo is on the island of Hawaii (also known as "the Big Island"). Hilo is an older quaint sort of town, much slower paced than Honolulu. You aren't as likely to get lost in the crowd in Hilo.

Both the U of H Manoa and the U of H Hilo are in sort of rainy areas, but it is a warm rain and the sun usually comes out soon enough to make rainbows.

Aloha,

UH Manoa if I remember correctly is 31 k students. UHH is like 3 to 5k . If you don't want to get lost in the mix go small. BUT!!! What is your Major??? Do this logically check there web sites and see which School will give you the best education. Then go for atmosphere. For me this is the time in your life to make social sacrifices to better your future yes you can have fun doing it but priority's

JMHO

Good luck they are both excellent Collages
