I think the common linkage isn't weather (obviously) but pace of life. When I owned a pet store we did pet shows (like glorified swap meets) in multiple states across the western US (Utah, Nevada, New Mexico, and California, including San Diego, Los Angeles and San Francisco). The difference between people in general between let's say LA and the show we did in Utah was drastic. I believe that living in a constant state of aggressive stress (LA) has side effects in long term health.

agree 100% with original post and replies, pace and way of life, i have family and know so many people who have lived to 100+ AND are still able to do things, one auntie is 102 still helps at restaurant, has hearing trouble but mental faculties are there, and you'd think she was at most in 70s or 80s. I think if you lead a happy life, less stress etc. that helps tremendously. not saying hawaii doesnt have stress, it does but if you can find your "happy place" you can really appreciate it all and live a very good life here

I agree 100% too! You made a good point, if you live a happier lifestyle with less stress then that helps out a lot by improving your health and mental state of mind. Even though there are places that have very touristy areas, there are tons of other places were you can just............ CHILLAX! Even if people have stressful jobs, they are able to come home and relax (whether that means to go to the beach, chill with friends, go to a local bar, or whatevahz).
