Hey a few basic questions on Hawaii. Is it really expensive to live there? What would you compare it to expense wise? Is it like a NYC or boston or is it more affortable? Also how is the job market. Thanks

Being from Southern California (beach communities) I find the Hilo side of the Big Island close to the costs of San Diego area. I lived in Carlsbad (which is north county) which was cheaper than say La Jolla for housing.
