Here is a case of woman donating a kidney to her brother but died after doing so because of a mistake that the doctors made which was completely preventable:

Veeery sad Chava61...though not shocking to me....doctors DO make mistakes....I almost lost my mom to a surgical mistake....guess the doc was discussing her vacation, and wasn't paying mind....either that or she was coming off a particularily gruelling shift, and was too tired to be able to.
