Ditto, plus I love to be clean or have that clean fresh feel...
Even if germs are not being killed...which I'm thinking this may be leading to or that
Our immune systems could be strengthened if we didn't wash so often.
Of course I do unless I am going to use a clorex wipe it which I sometimes do. They are always in the kitchen, near the sink, so I will grab one from time to time, but I can't imagine anyone not using soap and water? Ok, don't you use both?

1. Yes.
2. a.To kill if not all most of the germs in my hands.
b. To take off the unwanted, non-skin-produced grease sticked on my hands. (remember chemistry class? Soap micelle has one hydrophilic and one hydrophobic ends. as the result, grease / dirt will stick in one end of it, while water will stick on the other end of it. Hence, freeing your hands from dirt.
c. To neutralize the pH of the hands. Most soaps are basic. My hands are usually too acidic due to my job.
There's a lady at work who just rinses her hands after going to the bathroom. Not sure that the point of that is..gross.
