April 1st of 2012 I had a motorcycle accident. Among the injuries that I sustained were two fractures of my right eye socket. One was called a fracture of the obital floor. More commonly called a 'blow out fracture'. I also had a Type 3 concussion. Are fractures of this nature considered skull fractures? Most sites that I went to refer it as a cranial fracture. The answer should be yes, right?
The skull and cranium are technically the same although skull fractures generally refer to the bony covering of the brain.
Thanks for the reply.
