I used to drink 2 caffeine-free Diet Cokes every day. I've read about its myriad of bad side effects though and have reduced it drastically to help feel better. I have developed insomnia, anxiety, etc. and have read that artificial sweeteners could be the cause. Also, even the caramel coloring is a carcinogen.
I must admit though that Diet Coke played a key role in my weight management. If I crave sweets, or have an aftertaste in my mouth, Diet Coke relieved it. I love aloe vera juice, but it's very expensive ($2 a bottle). Anyone out there know how I feel? Any suggestions?
Also, have you heard of Coca Cola Life? It's supposed to be a more natural Coke or better for the environment.
Yup, Water. I nearly always order water with a lemon slice when I eat out. Costs nothing (usually) and is better for you.
Sometimes on self-serv condiment bars there are lots and lots of lemons and I'll use several wedges in my water along with a packet of sugar to make lemon-aid.
Neosec, Funny you should say that about cost. I was at a fast food place and had not eaten lunch or dinner. Just wanted something to keep me going. Ordered a couple taco's and a small burger with a water. Cost me less than $2 and the water was free. Im not advocating fast food. I break down every so often and visit one of those places. LOL Still no sugar drinks for me.
I drink a ton of water already, probably more than anyone else I know. I just need something delicious that's light and not bad for me.
Gatorade!!!! Fierce Grape is awesome
