Glass imbedded in scare on forehead (painful, skin, surgery, dermatologist)

40 years ago I had a car accident which left my face a horrific and painful mess. 263 sutures an 2 plastic surgeries later I was fairly confident I'd have smooth sailing with post issues.

Over the last 40 years I have had 4 separate incidences when I would have a zit type area in the many scared areas and they have all been easily removed by myself with just minimal pressure as if popping a zit and the glass was removed.

I now have a similar situation in a scar on my forehead of which refuses to come loose. I can't see the specialist for another month.
Should I go to the walk in clinic to have it removed. It seems so minor to go there?

You might want to see a dermatologist one who specializes in MOH's surgery for best results.

Mohs (not MOH's, it's named for Dr. Frederic E. Mohs) surgery is for skin cancer. It would not apply to the situation in the OP.

To the OP: your family doctor may be able to take care of it for you. If not, then Urgent Care is an option.
