I've actually never tried drugs and don't plan on it. I've had an uncle that was addicted to marijuana and he lost part of his one leg in a car accident due to drugs. It's scary and I don't understand why someone would want to waste their life doing drugs.please advice them to take a drug treament program.

Reason: advertising
Insurance won't pay for getting off marijuana, as it isn't physically addictive. People would have to pay for their own rehab for marijuana. Of course, they could always go to NA or AA for free and "just stop" smoking, without any physical consequences.
I'd say people do drugs because it's fun (at first) or it feels good (at first). The more addictive ones pull people in and then it's no fun and they can't just stop.
