Hi all, 66 year old male, happily married for 44 years. I've been using Viagra for a few years for obvious reasons. My wife and I have regular sex, but I haven't experienced climax for almost a year. Today I had a reaction to Viagra that I haven't experienced before. Right now, I'm shaky, my pulse is 116 BPM, my face is flushed, and I generally feel on edge. I'm guessing Viagra is responsible. Anyone else have a reaction like this?

I think your guess is a good one. I had a BF years ago in clinical trials with V and he died of a heart attack in his later 50's.
Check with Doc Google too.

Maybe you should go to the doctor instead of posting your symptoms here

That's the only right answer. In fact, it sounds like it should be an emergency room visit. It sounds like a new onset PSVT or a fib or angina/acute MI.
Viagra does not "cause" heart attacks. What it does is encourage old couch potatoes to finally exert themselves a little and run their HRs up for the first time in 12 yrs. They have silent CAD that never had a chance to become apparent due to their inactivity. They just put themselves thru a private Exercise Test and it turned out "positive."

I never said anything about heart attacks. I walk 11,000 steps everyday. I walk up hills 3 or 4 times a week. I also hike a 20% grade trail. I am not a couch potato. I've never had this reaction before, but I am done with Viagra.

Jim Fix was one of the original "jogging gurus" writing several best selling books on the subject back in the 70s. He dropped dead in his early 40s-- while out jogging.
When you have the symptoms like you've just stated, it's your heartuntilprovenotherwise.

Doesn't make a bit of difference if you have heart issues. You can be the picture of health and then drop dead of a heart attack.
A colleague of my husband was a vegetarian, ran, worked out, and played basketball every week. He dropped dead on the court from a heart attack - he was 43.
IMO you should get a heart work up with your physician.

Wtf...yeah I did read your post. I quoted your op. WHERE EXACTLY did you refer to a doctor in your original post? I can’t seem to find it. I don’t care that you’ve been to doctors because you’re not climaxing, I’m telling you to go to a doctor NOW because you’re having symptoms that you haven’t had before....at 66 years old.
You’re obviously having some reaction of some kind to pills or some stimulation either internal or external that’s making your body react in the way you describe. For all you know you got some fake Viagra or something is possibly reacting if you’re taking multiple different pills. But F it, you go ahead and keep posting on here with a 116 BPM, shaky, flushed, on edge NEVER HAD THESE SYMPTOMS BEFORE instead of going to a doctor.

And what did the Doctors say ? Do you think you are going to get a better answer on this forum from laymen ?
