Hemp does not contain THC but CBD does.

What is going on with you not sleeping? Did you try the hemp? Someone told me about it.

Well, since starting this thread, I've tried several things and I've also learned a lot about my sleep issues. Let me tell you what's worked. First off, not all CBD has THC - you can buy CBD that has less than .3% THC which is legal in all 50 states including mine. CBD works about as well as two other supplements - Ashwaganda and GABA for calming It's rather expensive. I haven't tried hemp yet, but plan to at some point. Here's a good link of CBD and dosing:

https://www.cbdoil.org/cbd-dosage-guide/

I bought a fitness watch that tracks my sleep - more interesting than anything but sometimes it's comforting to know the watch is recording me so I don't have to think about it. I got it on Amazon during Black Friday and only paid $29 - I really didn't want to spring for the more expensive models.

I also bought a weighted blanket but it hasn't arrived yet, so it will be interesting to see how that helps.

The biggest thing I've noticed is that I'm no longer stressing over not being able to fall asleep. There were times when I wasn't falling asleep and the longer it went on, the more anxious I got and of course that just perpetuated the sleeplessness. I do still have the occasional weird sensations where my body won't shut down and I've been able to separate those from the general anxiety and use the Ambien. I've only had to take 1/2 pill twice in the last 2 weeks - I'm OK with that.

I started taking melatonin again and if I don't fall asleep after 30 minutes, I get up and take an ashwaganda or GABA. Other than melatonin, I try not to take anything daily so I don't get dependent on it.

So, what have you heard about hemp - anything useful? I haven't looked into it, is it as expensive as CBD?

If you have a Smartphone , sleep apps are on them. At least mine came with a Health App that not just tracks sleep, but excerise too and many more things.

A friend of mine is a builder. He's fallen many of times and broken many bones. He told me about the Hemp and how it has helped his pains and calls it a miracle drug. He suggested that it would help my back pains and it definitely has. I have called and talked to the company and got to speak to a live person, who is part owner of the company. They literally have a farm there and make it there onsite. He gave me so much info about their products, like the Hemp Oil helps you sleep.

Not to split hairs here but CBD is cannbidiol and does not contain THC ever. CBD products (oils tinctures gummies etc) do, in varying amounts. CBD products often have other ingredients too, like various herbs.

But CBD in the strict chemical sense and THC are two completely different things, and one cannot "contain" the other. The problem comes because people use the term CBD when they are really talking about products that contain CBD, and other stuff.
