OP, if you need 8 or 9 hours on weeknights, and don't want to set an alarm, go to bed early enough, that you'll have 9 hours for sleep. Do you have to get up at some ungodly early time in the morning for a commute, or something? If you have to get up at 6 a.m., go to bed at 9 p.m. If you have to get up at 5, you can still go to bed at 9 p.m., and you'll get your 8 hrs. minimum.
Do you WFH, or go to an office?
