A clinical study using women being reported on the ''Journal of Atherosclerosis'' shows that woman who had the highest amounts of Lycopene from the diet (red and pink fruits and vegetables) had lower stiffness in the arteries as stiffness in them is a sign of oxidative and diseased blood vessels and they also had lower levels of C-Reactive protein (blood inflammation).
