I'm not sure if this has been "done", but I did a quick search and didn't find it . Does anyone else out there have anemia? My problem is specifically this: I finally found a good iron supplement, one that doesn't have some of the ordinary problems you have when you take an iron supplement. It's called Vitron-C. I love it except for one thing. I'm not falling asleep nearly as easily. Now I realize this could be a good thing, as fatigue may be decreasing....but I'm used to being asleep within 10 minutes! I'm hoping that as my system adjusts to this supplement I won't have this problem. I've also thought of taking it at a different time of the day. (I can't take it until 10 am or so anyway, because of the thyroid med I have to take). I'd appreciate your experience and input on this

Honestly if you easily fell asleep because you were fatigued from the anemia then I don't think you can fix it, except maybe by exercising. I would however have them redo your thyroid levels when you go back for your blood count check...if those meds are off it can also make it harder for you to sleep. If all else fails I like Rozerum.
I have good luck with Solgar's Dessicated Liver. It is an easily assimilated source of iron. Ferrous sulfate will decrease your body's Vitamin E levels so that is a concern. As far as the dessicated liver - it is in tablet form so you don't taste the liver.
I took this when I was pregnant and the doc was always impressed with my iron levels in my blood tests, even after I had the babies.
I was slightly anemic a couple of years ago, remembered the dessicated liver, and in no time the dark circles under my eyes were gone, I had color in my cheeks again, and my energy level increased.
Thank you, Adream! so glad when you said it's in tablet form! lol... That may be a good solution....I'm just not able to eat enough in my diet to bring it back to normal now, it's so low.
