76 years ago we dropped at atomic bomb on Hiroshima, which probably hastened the end of WW II and saved many American lives. We owe a great deal of thanks to all of the people who worked to make that successful.
My wife's father was on the USS Pennsylvania in Pearl Harbor when the Japanese attacked and he might have been very involved if we had to take over Japan by force. The success of the atomic bomb made him and a lot of others very happy.
