A new game is coming out where you can fight each other and you have the choice between playing as a Knight, a Viking or a Samurai. I realize all three of these actually meeting up and fighting to the death historically is very unlikely, but for the sake of argument they did, who do you think would win?

If I remember correctly when Spike TV had that series they gave the samurai the edge due to their archery skills and mobility. Choose ground to get the knights dismounted or will the fight be forced on open ground where heavy cavalry can do what they do best would be the key.

I would assume that a knight would have a spear (lance) and a shield (not to mention a horse), whereas a samurai would have only a sword. Not to mention, if the knight can somehow get the samurai to violate his sense of honor, he would feel so ashamed that he will commit suicide. Thus, take the knight over the samurai for sure.

I don't know enough about the weaponry and tactics of a viking to give an answer on that one.

Vikings had normally an axe, a shield and a dagger. They succeeded mostly because they were individually trained skilled warriors with a healthier diet than their opponents, mentally and physically stronger.

Honestly Fratrock I think it could be a close one to call so I couldn't say for sure. But it does bring to mind another classic question along those same lines...

Vern: You think Mighty Mouse could beat up Superman?

Teddy: What, are you cracked?

Vern: No, I saw him on TV the other day, he was holding up five elephants in one hand.

Teddy: Boy, you don't know nothing. Mighty Mouse is a cartoon. Superman's a real guy. There's no way a cartoon could beat up a real guy.

Vern: I guess you're right. It'd be a good fight though.

a knight. samuari were tiny and had no armor to speak of, vikings no armor and possibly not as well trained. knights trained all of the time.
